Kailua is known to the world as the early windsurfing capital - this is where windsurfing was developed. Steady trade winds, turquoise water and a gentle beach make for a windsurfing paradise in Hawaii. Windsurfers in kailua get the best of both worlds, with waves on the outer reef and cleaner slalom conditions inside. Kailua Sailboards has been teaching lessons and renting windsurf gear in Kailua since 1982. You will find that we are the only shop located near the beach and provide a full range of boards and sails from the top brands, North and Mistral.

Beginner Windsurfing Package* (Beginner Rental, Lesson, Lunch, Hotel Pick-up)The day starts with a 2 -hour lesson. – First on the windsurfing simulator to learn and practice the right techniques, then in the water. Special training boards with light sails are provided, so regardless of size or strength everyone has a chance at the sport. In the afternoon the students are encouraged to practice on their own. Kailua beach staff is always on hand if additional help is needed.

Advanced/ Intermediate Windsurfing Package* (Mistral Board, North Sail, Lunch, Hotel Pick-up) Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks Inc. carries a line of new epoxy Mistral boards including 'Synchros' and 'Explosions'. North Sails will be rigged and made available at Kailua beach, allowing for easy size-swap. With the help of our personnel at Kailua Beach park, windsurfers enjoy the logistical, luxuries that can be found only in Kailua. Accessories such as harness and personal flotation devices are provided at no additional charge. $89
